Expertise

Nine competence areas covering the complete radar chain

NORRAD is a radar consultancy: we are engaged as independent specialists on measurement, analysis, evaluation and development tasks. Each area combines scientific understanding, engineering practice and real measurement experience — a manager can read the summaries; a radar engineer can read the depth underneath.

01

Radar performance over the sea: propagation, sea clutter, and the detection of small and low-RCS targets in difficult conditions.

  • Sea-clutter and propagation analysis, including refraction and multipath effects on detection range.
  • Detection of small targets such as periscopes, debris and people in the sea — evidence of competence in difficult detection, not a product offering.
